Things to Do When You Travelling to Batam Indonesia

Batam is located less than 20km from Singapore, with a ferry ride from Singapore to Batam takes approximately 45 minutes ~ 1 hour.

Batam is a great place where you can enjoy fresh seafood, cheap shopping, water sports, interesting attractions and affordable massage parlors.

Here is a list of things to do in Batam for a short holiday weekend:

Shopping at Nagoya Hill

Nagoya Hill is the largest and busiest shopping centers (especially on weekends) in this island. In here you can buy the popular dragon fruit cake, Batam layer cakes and various snacks typical of Batam; you can buy a variety of shoes and handbags imported at a low price after bargaining.

You also can enjoy A & W in this mall (ground floor), ever since A & W pulled out from Singapore a few years ago, the one in Batam is the closest option for tourist from Singaporeans to satisfy their craving for A & W root beer float, curly fries and ice cream waffles.

Cheap massage in Batam

I highly recommend a massage parlor in Center Point Nagoya called Relax, here you can ask for a traditional massage to well-known thai massage or in combination with price only Rp80.000 for about 1.5 hours, there are different therapies such as face massage and foot massage to choose from.

Batam Seafood is delicious and good deals
933 Seafood Restaurant and Seafood Restaurant Harbour Bay is the name that most people Batam will mention when you ask them to recommend the best seafood restaurants in Batam. But there are other seafood restaurants in the form of kelong (restaurant above the sea) that you can choose like Delima Seafood at Marina City, Lucky Seafood in Stone Big Fisherman Seafood in Nongsa and bridge Barelang 4.

Batam Beach Resort & Water Sports

And of course, you can choose a beach resort which is great if you stay overnight. Island getaways are very connected to the beaches and Batam has a beach for every need. For those looking for some water sports activities can come to the beach Nongsa and Waterfront City.

Four Tourism Place You Should Go in Batam Island

1. Batamindo Industrial Park

For job seekers on the island of Batam, is certainly going out with this one area. As the largest industrial area on the island of Batam, Batamindo located about 10 km from the center of government Batam Batam center. The layout of the buildings belonging to the company in the area neat and strategically. In the region there is also a dormitory for workers dwellings in the region. There are also two large mosques are located near the entrance / exit area and located near the dormitory.

2. Bridge Barelang

Batam and Barelang is like the head and body, will not be separated. If you ask each person what it Barelang Batam, we can be sure 99.99% of the population will know Batam. So that 0.01% do not know because it was a baby once ... hehehe ....

Barelang is a bridge connecting several islands with the island of Batam. It is located about 20 km from mukakuning.

In Barelang, we can relax unwind tired after work. Barelang usually crowded on a holiday, especially weekends and national holidays.

It was quiet and a gentle breeze and views of blue water between some small islands make most favourit Barelang as a place to visit Batam residents. Moreover, at no cost of entry Barelang like some other tourist areas.

For those of you who stop in Batam, will not stop even if not in Barelang first, do not forget to bring ya camera .... take pictures of nice things there.

Nongsa Beach

Nongsa as one favourit coastal resorts in Batam, located about 10 km from the stone aji or 30 km from mukakuning.

Nongsa beaches frequented by groups of workers who travel together on the weekends.

Gentle breeze cool and soothe the soul after a busy giddy days of work.

The water is crystal clear and not too deep, it is suitable as a place we are playing in the water.

Forest Tourism Cat Eyes

The location is at Bukit Tiban, Sekupang Batam. If traveling from Mukakuning, we live to the Genta or Aviari then turn right into Tiban. His name is forest tour, so yes inside a forest (not the Mall .... hehehehe ..). Although the forest, but inside there is a swimming pool too, can be for children and adults as well. There is a gibbon monkey, monkey, There is a snake that was on the short hallway on the way that we are wired through to the swimming pool , there is an eagle, then there also a fish pond, ... pretty big fish ..... ! There are also ducks and the Lizard.
